Who We Are

At Lakeview Seventh Day Church, we are a vibrant fellowship of believers united by our love for God, devotion to His commandments, and faith in Jesus Christ. Rooted in the early Advent movement, we uphold the Bible as the foundation of our faith and practice.

Since our beginnings in the mid-19th century, we’ve been called to share the everlasting gospel, inviting all to repent, obey, and prepare for Christ’s soon return.

Our Worship and Mission

Our worship is simple, our fellowship heartfelt, and our hope anchored in eternity. Guided by the Holy Spirit, we strive to live out the patience of the saints, keeping God’s commandments and holding fast to the faith of Jesus (Revelation 14:12). We warmly invite you to worship with us or connect with our ministries as we proclaim the gospel and prepare for the soon return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Lakeview Church Values, Purpose, Mission, and Vision Statement

Vision Statement: Lakeview Seventh Day Church will be a community of love, both inwardly and outwardly, in keeping with the two great commandments and the fulfillment of the Great Commission. We carry out this vision through five purposes: loving God, loving neighbors, making disciples who make disciples, sharing Christ’s teachings as living epistles by demonstrating them through evangelistic outreach in surrounding communities, and baptizing all who accept these teachings into the church as one body of Christ.

The statement above serves as our church’s mission, vision, and purpose and reflects our values. It captures key elements central to our church's mission and purpose. Here are a few reasons why it works well as a vision statement:

1. Community Focus: The emphasis on being a "community of love" highlights the importance of fellowship and support among members, which is fundamental to many church communities.

2. Biblical Foundation: By referencing the "two great commandments" and the "Great Commission," the statement grounds the church's vision in biblical teachings, which can resonate deeply with congregants and guide their actions.

3. Clear Purposes: The five purposes outlined—loving God, loving neighbors, making disciples, and sharing teachings—provide a clear framework for the church's activities and goals. This clarity can help in planning programs and outreach efforts.

4. Evangelistic Outreach: The mention of demonstrating teachings through evangelistic methods indicates a proactive approach to outreach, which is essential for growth and engagement with the surrounding community.

5. Discipleship Emphasis: The focus on making disciples who form disciples reflects a commitment to spiritual growth and multiplication, which is a vital aspect of many church missions.

Overall, this vision statement is comprehensive and aligns well with the goals of Lakeview Seventh Day Church, making it a strong foundation for guiding the church's activities and community engagement.
